Anniversiary Celebration

This weekend Scott and I went down to St. George to have a little belated anniversary celebration. We took the dog with us since B watched him a couple weekends ago. Having him with us on the way down wasn't too bad as it was dark most of the way (if you didn't know- he barks/cry's at every cow, horse, person and hay bale). We got into town about midnight and took a stop at the Walmart as you enter Bloomington. It was my first time being there when there are more employees than customers. It was a crazy experience having everyone there re-stocking the shelves and everything in the isles. :) We were able to get a new TV stand for the house and then we proceeded to go home and make it since Scott wasn't tired. We finally finished it at 2am and it looks pretty nice if you ask me.

Saturday we went up to Zion National Park and took the bus to the end of the canyon and then rode our bikes down to the Visitors Center. It is amazing how much of the canyon you miss while riding in the bus. Seeing the animal life (we had 3 deer pass across the road in front of us) and seeing the magnificent view of the river. It was a great time and I can't wait to do it again. Below are some photos of the ride:

Saturday night we went to Hairspray at Tuachan. It was a beautiful night and the perfect temperature. We had a great time and I am glad that we were able to go and actually see the performance on their final night. It was a great weekend and I enjoyed the time away from Salt Lake with my husband.

2 Years

The Berry posted this photo today and I thought that it was very appropriate with my life right now.  On Tuesday Scott and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary! The past two years have flown by and I am one lucky girl to have a husband that has put up with my crap. He has really made my heard smile since the first day I met him on that June evening in 2009.

My day started out with a surprise by Scott and he got tickets to go see Hairspray down at Tuacahn next weekend. I had a crazy day at work but I was surprised with a beautiful flower arrangement. Then we had a wonderful evening that consisted of homemade fondue (this is becoming our tradition) and watching some TV. Overall a wonderful day and I can't wait for St. George next weekend with the hubby.

Thank you, Scott, for such a great year- I can't wait for the new adventures that will come this year.

The Barn

My parents just bought a cabin in Island Park, Idaho. The past two weekends I have gone up and helped move everything in and get the yard ready. I can't wait to spend more time up there and enjoying some relaxing time there.

We created a dog run for Captain- he still isn't sure about it.

Updating the Yard

Well a couple weeks a go we tore out all of our bushes in the backyard to make room for some updates that we are going to do. Some of the updates include putting a fence in, putting a concrete pad down for the trailer, put in a waterfall, and create some planters for expanding our garden.

It's amazing removing some bushes and what kind of space it will create. Below are some before/after photos. Now we get to wait until the spring to put the rest into place!
