ACS 2011

Last weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to attend Kappa's Associate Council Seminar (ACS) in Columbus, OH. This is for all the Province Directors and Coordinators of Chapter Support get together and get some training for our position from the Fraternity Council and the Regional Directors. It was a wonderful weekend of training, exchanging stories, and getting to know sisters from across the country.

As a part of the weekend you could choose to leave a little later on Sunday and go an tour Fraternity Headquarters. Headquarters is based in Columbus, OH and the front part of the building has been turned into a museum that shows the way the houses looked back in 1850-80 and houses Kappa memorabilia. It was great to see the only known badge worn by one of the Fraternity founders as well as the book that our original initiation was written. After the weekend with new and old friends it makes me so proud to be a Kappa. Some photos of the building (sorry they aren't the best--I took them with my phone):

The only badge that we know* has been worn by a founder.

The first book that our ritual was written in. It was purchased in 1972 by Delta chapter.

The gate in front of the building (LOVE!).

The front of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity Headquarters.

The main entrance to the building.

*I believe there has been some claims that other founders badges were theirs but the Fraternity couldn't verify that they wore them.
